Kara Hodge, M.A., CCC-SLP has been a speech-language pathologist since 2010. She graduated with honors from Baldwin-Wallace College with an undergraduate degree in communication disorders and obtained her master’s degree from George Washington University. She has experience evaluating and treating children with Speech, Language, Pragmatic, and Hearing disorders. Kara previously worked as a pediatric outpatient therapist and held a PRN position in a sub-acute care setting. During her time as an outpatient therapist, Kara developed and led a theme based preschool summer camp with a focus on integrating sensory tasks into language development. She also spent time as a contract speech therapist in charter schools and parochial schools before transitioning to full time work in the public school setting.

Kara is a certified member of the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA), and is licensed by the state of Ohio in Speech Language Pathology. Areas of interest include early intervention, in class intervention with high needs populations, and working with children with hearing impairment. She is excited to rejoin the outpatient therapy world here at Lakeshore.

Kara enjoys watching college basketball and football, traveling, and spending time with family. She resides in North Olmsted with her husband and preschool aged daughter.
