Karen has been a certified speech and language pathologist for 25 years. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and certifications in School Building and School District Administration from Dowling College in New York. Karen spent 24 years as a speech and language pathologist and special education administrator in the public schools and is now working as a full-time speech and language pathologist for online charter schools. Karen holds a State Board of Examiners of Speech and Language Licensure in four states, including Ohio, New York, West Virginia, and Wyoming. She also possesses Department of Education Certifications/Licensures in Ohio and New York.
Karen has spent most of her career working with children with autism. She is T.E.A.C.C.H. certified and has experience with Assistive Technology (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and Sensory Integration. Karen Is also passionate about play therapy in young children.
When she’s not working with children, Karen loves to watch her son play lacrosse, listen to music and spend time at the beach. She resides in Macedonia with her husband, son and two dogs.
