Message About Lakeshore Speech Telepractice
In the best interest of our clients, families, and staff, we are suspending person to person in office therapy sessions beginning Thursday, March 19 until further notice. Thank you for your patience and understanding; we are all navigating through uncharted waters. The good news is that we will be implementing telepractice. Telepractice is a telecommunication service that is conducted with an interactive audio and video connection in real time to create an in-person experience similar to that achieved in a traditional encounter. During telepractice, we will be able to work directly with your child and also provide parent coaching as well. While not as ideal as person to person, telepractice will allow the much needed consistency that is needed to achieve progress.
We intend to initiate this alternate service by no later than Wednesday, March 25th. If you are interested in this service, please feel free to contact us via email: espear@lakeshorespeech or krigo@lakeshorespeech.com.
Both Anthem and Medical Mutual are supporting telemedicine and encouraging patients to use this service as much as possible the next 90 days. If you have the Autism or Jon Peterson Scholarship, we are awaiting their response on covering this service. If you pay privately, nothing will change per your method of payment.
Lakeshore Speech Therapy takes HIPAA compliance seriously; please be assured sessions will be held in a private setting. We are utilizing a HIPAA approved service.
